TEEN SAFE DRINKING

Drinking responsibly also means that as a teenager you have to resist the temptation to drink because you will permanently damage your body.

If you must drink as a teenager, try to drink responsibly as adults would. Talk to your parents about it, and see if they would let you have a few beers a month. If you do it with them in your own home in most states it is legal and you are guaranteed to be safe. Drinking as a teenager severely damages your brain, but it is also illegal. Don’t let yourself become another kid facing a horrible blemish on your permanent record (yes it does exist). Whether you are looking at college, or trying for your first job, that minor offense will come back to haunt you.

EFFECT ON TEENS
Alcohol is especially harmful to teens because our brains are not fully developed until we reach the age of 21 so the alcohol prohibits our brain from reaching its full ability

TEEN DRINKERS
Every day an average of 11,318 teenagers try alcohol for the first time

DEADLY RESULTS
Nearly half of all fatal car crashes are alcohol related
