Many of the adults who talk to students seem to emphasize that alcohol is not okay and it is not popular. Based on two national surveys we can see that alcohol is in fact popular and based one popular belief it is okay. Alcohol in fact has an 88% approval rating which is far greater than any of our American presidents. This means that we have never had a leader who was more popular or more trusted than alcohol. This also means that it is really impossible to say that alcohol is a taboo drink that you should never experiment with or even think of having.
